To be effective, developer relations takes good planning. In the morning session Matthew Revell, founder at Hoopy, will cover how to understand your target developers and how to create the right strategy, including:

understanding the competitive marketplace for your offering
segmenting the developers you want to target
setting goals for your developer relations strategy
creating strategic programmes to meet those goals
choosing the right developer relations activities in support of those programmes.


Afternoon session:
Hackathons are a large part of most developer outreach strategies. In the afternoon session Cristiano Betta, founder at Work Betta, will use his experience running hackathons worldwide to show you how and why to organise hackathons the right way, including:

understanding why companies get involved in hackathons
understanding the cost of hackathons
determining the right time to get involved in hackathons
